Hey, guys! I'm home from Texas!
And guess what happened on my first flight on my way home? I almost died in a plane crash! 8D
Okay, now you're probably freaking out about what happened. xD I'll tell you, so just calm your buns, sit back, and enjoy the story:
So when we were about to land, it was too foggy to see the runway (and the airport in general) so they denied access for us to land. We waited a bit, came back, and once again, they denied access for us to land. The third time after waiting, we came back and they were going to deny access again, but they didn't. Why? Because they found out our plane was about to run out of fuel. By this time the captain was apologizing to us, saying that there is no need to worry. Now, EVERYONE knows that when the captain says there's no need to worry, there's always a need to worry. xD ANYWAYS, even though it was still really hard to see the runway, they HAD to try to land the plane or we would crash, so they took a risk and went for it. The plane was basically gliding down to the runway now because it was so low on fuel. Once we reached the runway, we were riding on the ground to park and that was the EXACT TIME that the plane ran out of fuel. All the power on the plane went out and the plane powered off for maybe ten seconds and went back on again. If we had waited any longer, I might not have been telling you the story I'm telling you right now, because I would either be in the hospital, severely injured, or dead. o_o [[EDIT]] Oh! And I almost forgot to mention, they had ambulances, police cars, and fire trucks all sitting down there waiting for us with there rescue gear ready because they were pretty sure we would crash. [[END EDIT]]
But no worries! If you EVER ride an airplane, this kind of event it VERY UNLIKELY TO OCCUR.
I've ridden in airplanes maybe ten times a year ALL MY LIFE and this is the first time anything has ever went wrong.
But yeah I'm home now and it's GREAT to be home! ^_^
Did the preggers lady actually went into your neighborhood?
ICE...
It's effin great to have you back on the ground.. I really hope that you won't get any post-traumatic stress or something equavilent after this.
I also want to say, BIG RESPECT to the cabin crew, pilot(s), ground crew, authorities etc - this ended well thanks to them. (eventhough this may not be read, I still want to get it out there)
-Take care-
